Once again in 2019, The McGinnity Room will kick off Spokane’s St. Patrick’s festivities with the 3rd Annual O’Danny Boy Bash on March 1. Proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest — an amazing local organization that provides temporary lodging, comfort, and support for families with critically ill or injured children accessing medical services in Spokane.  The festivities include  a Limerick Supper, snack bar, festive libations and live music featuring the Blue Mustangs  and  the Pickering SImmons Project.   Tickets are $20 online, or $25 at the door.

The O’Danny Boy Bash is the first of many St. Patrick celebrations in Spokane, which includes the legendary St. Patrick’s Day parade, this year set for Saturday March 16th at 12 pm. Here’s some of our favorites.  If you have an St. Patrick’s Day event we’re missing, please tag us on Facebook and we’ll add it to our list!

Spokane St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Get ready for Spokane’s 41st annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 16, 2019, sponsored by The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. According to the groups Facebook page, “Regardless of race, creed or color, everyone has just that wee bit of Irish that comes out in full spirit, whether you’re a dyed-in-the-wool Irish person or just Irish-for-the-day, this is one event you won’t want to miss.”

Meet n Greet The Irish Drinking Team @ O’Doherty’s

Here ye, here ye all veteran and wanna be members of Spokane’s Irish Drinking team!   Gather at O’Doherty’s  on Friday, March 15 to warm up for St. Patrick’s Day, sing Irish songs and enjoy drink and food specials.   Wearing a previous years tee or jersey is highly encouraged! And newbies – here’s your chance to ask questions and see if you have what it takes to join the crew on its St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl.

You don’t have to wait for St. Patrick’s  to enjoy authentic Irish comfort food and a “pint or three” of Guinness at O’Doherty’s.  O’Doherty’s offers everything from Tullamore Dew whiskey steak to Irish stew and shepherd’s pie.  We’re partial to the McGinnity Fries served with melted cheddar, barcon and named by O’Danny Boy himself!

A Traditional Irish Dinner At Republic Brew

Republic Brew will serve up a traditional Irish Dinner on Saturday, March 16, 2019.  Pearl’s Smokehouse (formerly Freckle’s Gourmet BBQ) will cater.  Reservations are strongly recommended.
